Beekeeping doesn't come naturally to anyone. Brent learned almost all of it the hard way, one mistake at a time, starting back in 2008. These days he spends part of the season passing that experience on: to bee clubs working through the same problems he once did, and to kids meeting a honey bee up close for the first time. If you run a club, a classroom, or an event that could use a real beekeeper, get in touch.
Talks I Offer
Winterizing Your Apiary — what to check, treat, and insulate before the cold sets in
Wax Rendering, Start to Finish — turning cappings and burr comb into usable beeswax
Getting Started in Beekeeping — first-year decisions that can save you the losses Brent had to learn about firsthand
Organic & Treatment-Light Approaches — managing mites and pests without leaning on heavy chemical treatments
School & Youth Programs — an introduction to honey bees and hive products, usually with a honey tasting
